Welcoming a new baby into your family is an exciting time!

At Wealthup, we want to make sure that you have all the information you need to register your newborn or newly adopted baby smoothly.

This guide will walk you through the steps to ensure your little one is covered without any hassle.

To accept your newborn or newly adopted baby without any conditions, it’s essential to register them within 90 days of their birth or adoption. Here are the key points to remember:

• Coverage must start from the date of birth or adoption.

• You will need to pay increased contributions starting from the first day of the month following the month of birth or adoption.

• Benefits will accumulate from the date of birth or adoption.

If you apply after the 90-day window or wish to start coverage on a different date, certain conditions may apply to your baby’s membership with the Scheme. In such cases, you will need to complete a different application called “Application to add a dependants 2025.”

Follow these steps to ensure a smooth registration process:

1. Fill in the form using black ink and print clearly

2. Ensure all relevant sections are signed by the main member.

3. The main member must sign and date any changes made to the form.

4. There is a section in the form to provide information related to your race, which is required by the Council for Medical Schemes for statistical purposes only. You are not compelled to provide this information.

6. Please attach a copy of the birth certificate for your newborn baby.
